Roger Catania

Roger Catania (Educ ’12) will publish his first book, Educating for Equality: A History of Two Progressive Schools Committed to Social Justice, with the State University of New York Press in November 2026. His work tells the history of two New York City schools that made social justice their highest priority, and examines issues of class, race, education, democracy and progressivism through a century of schooling.
