Walter Culpepper

Walter Culpepper (Col ’68) has published a novel, The Replacement Son. The book, a psychological drama framed within an adventure story, follows Harry McChesney on his challenging life journey through Depression-era New Orleans, World War II and the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Dr. Culpeper has written poetry since his undergraduate days at the University and, after practicing and teaching pediatric cardiology for more than 25 years, has decided to focus on his writing.
