Amanda Brill

Amanda Brill (Col ’08 L/M) is developing a music program for teenagers at Sparrow Village, an HIV/AIDS community in Johannesburg, South Africa. Her students are studying various instruments, composing their own songs and learning how to edit and record their music with computer software. They hope to complete their “Sparrow Soundtrack” CD by the end of 2010, which will be sold to raise funds for Sparrow Village. In addition to teaching music, Ms. Brill runs a youth group and mentors approximately 30 teenage girls who have all been victims of disease, abuse and neglect.
