Stephen “Steve” Rademaker (Col ’81, Law ’84, Grad ’85 L/M) has rejoined the law firm Covington, where he began his legal career. As he joins the firm’s public policy and government affairs practice in Washington, D.C., he brings experience on national security issues from his 21 years in government. He led the drafting of legislation that created the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and served in numerous roles in government including as an assistant secretary of state, chief counsel for the House Select Committee on Homeland Security, general counsel of the Peace Corps and deputy staff director and chief counsel of the House Committee on International Relations.
