Ellsworth Johnson (Col ’92)
Ellsworth K. “Kenny” Johnson III (Col ’92 CM) retired from the U.S. Army at the rank of Colonel on September 30, 2020. He served in the Army for 28 years and was awarded the Defense Superior Service Medal at his retirement ceremony, which was held on August 6, 2020. His last military assignment was as the Program Manager for the Missile Defense Agency’s X-Band Radars Program Office at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. COL(R) Johnson, his wife, Terri, and their sons live in Madison, Alabama.

Ellsworth Johnson (Col ’92) was promoted to the rank of colonel in the U.S. Army. He currently serves as the military deputy for the Army Contracting Command-Redstone at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, a position he has held since July 2015. His previous assignment was as the executive officer for the principal deputy assistant secretary of the Army for acquisition, logistics and technology in Washington, D.C. Col. Johnson and his wife, Terri, live in Madison, Alabama, with their two children, Nicholas and Zachary.

Ellsworth K. “Kenny” Johnson III (Col ’92 L/M) and his wife, Terri, welcomed their second child, Zachary Evan, on Jan. 13, 2010. Zachary joins brother, Nicholas Ryan, 7. Mr. Johnson was also promoted to Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army on Nov. 1, 2009. He currently serves as the U.S. Army Acquisition Support Center’s Functional Area 51C (Contracting) Prepotency Officer. The family resides in Fort Belvoir, Va.
