Heather Bumgarner

Heather Bumgarner (Col ’01, Educ ’01 CM) recently earned a doctorate in education with a focus on instructional leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. Her dissertation focuses on understanding the National Board Certification process as professional development. She also concurrently earned postmaster’s certification in educational leadership. Ms. Bumgarner, a National Board Certified Teacher, lives in Richmond with her husband, Aaron; and daughter, Charlotte, 3.
