Karen Smucker (Educ ’87, Educ ’91, Grad ’95 CM) retired from Northwest Nazarene University in May 2014 and was elected to emeritus status. In August 2014, she received the Special Education Distinguished Service Award from the Idaho Association of Special Education Administrators in recognition of her leadership in and advocacy for special education in the state of Idaho.
