Bruce Clurman (Col ’81 CM) was recently appointed the José Carreras/E. Donnall Thomas Endowed Chair for Cancer Research at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle. Dr. Clurman is a member of the divisions of clinical research and human biology at the FHCRC and a professor of medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine. His laboratory research studies basic problems in cancer biology, and his clinical practice involves the use of marrow and stem cell transplantation to treat patients with blood cancers. He lives in Seattle with his wife, Deb.
