Patti Digh (Grad ’85) published The Geography of Loss: Embrace What Is, Honor What Was, Love What Will Be in January 2014. She has written seven books, including Life Is a Verb, a finalist for both the national Books for a Better Life Award and the Southern Independent Booksellers Association’s Book of the Year Award. Ms. Digh’s first book, Global Literacies: Lessons on Business Leadership and National Cultures, was named one of Fortune magazine’s Best Business Books of 2000. She lives near Asheville, N.C., with her husband, John Ptak; and their two daughters.
