John Vanderslice

John Vanderslice (Col ’83 CM) is an associate professor in the writing department at the University of Central Arkansas, where he teaches mostly creative writing. His collection of thematically linked short stories, Island Fog, surveys four centuries of the history of Nantucket Island, Mass., and will be published by Dialogos/Lavender Ink Press in 2014.

John Vanderslice (Col ’83 L/M) published a short story, “My Word,” in the online journal Literary Mama. The story has been optioned by British film producer Louise Dylan for the purposes of making a short film. Mr. Vanderslice is associate professor of writing at the University of Central Arkansas.
