Garland Barr

Garland H. “Andy” Barr IV (Col ’96 L/M) took the oath of office as the U.S. Representative for Kentucky’s 6th Congressional District on Jan. 3, 2013. Congressman Barr serves on the Committee on Financial Services, with a seat on the Subcommittee on Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit and the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations. He is focused on strengthening Kentucky’s signature bourbon, equine, agriculture and manufacturing industries and fighting for policies that restore government accountability and create a better environment for job creation and economic growth. Mr. Barr and his wife, Carol, welcomed a daughter, Mary Clay, on April 29, 2013. Mary Clay joins sister Eleanor, 2.
