Walter Calvert

Walter Calvert (Com ’80 CM) was elected a Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel.  The American College of Tax Counsel is a professional association of tax attorneys with fellows limited to a maximum of 700 across the United States.  Fellows must be nominated for membership and must then undergo a rigorous screening process prior to being elected.  Walt is a partner in the transactional Tax practice of the Venable LLP law firm.

Walter Calvert (Com ’83 CM) has been named the “Baltimore Tax Law Lawyer of the Year” for 2013 by the Best Lawyers in America. He has been selected for inclusion in the tax law category of this publication annually since 2007. Mr. Calvert is a partner in the tax and wealth planning group of the Venable firm in its Baltimore and Washington, D.C., offices. He regularly advises clients about tax planning and controversies, state and local taxation and public finance.
