N. Connally

N. Connally (Col ’58, Med ’62, Res ’68 CM) was awarded the 2012 Ralph O. Claypoole Senior Memorial Award by the American College of Physicians. The award is given to an internist who has dedicated a professional lifetime to exemplary patient care, teaching and service to the profession and the community. Dr. Connally practiced general internal medicine in Washington, D.C., for 32 years, and since his retirement has served as a volunteer physician, including six years as medical director of the Arlington Free Clinic in Arlington, Va. He has also served on several not-for-profit boards, including the U.Va. Board of Visitors.
