Gail Griffin (Grad ’74, Grad ’77) will retire from the English department at Kalamazoo College, where she has taught for 35 years. She is the only Kalamazoo faculty member to win both of the college’s faculty awards, one for scholarship and one for teaching. Ms. Griffin published “The Events of October”: Murder-Suicide on a Small Campus, a nonfiction account of the killing of a woman student by her ex-boyfriend on the Kalamazoo campus in 1999, with Wayne State University Press.
