Blair Nelsen

Blair Nelsen (Col ’80 CM) was elected president of the International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards at its 2021 Annual Meeting. The conference represents funeral service regulatory boards in the United States and Canada.  Nelsen is currently serving his fourth term on the Virginia Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers.

Blair H. Nelsen (Col ’80) was elected to the Board of Directors of the International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards.  Nelsen, Director of Governmental Affairs for SCI Management, is serving his third term on the Virginia Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers.

Blair Nelsen (Col ’80 CM) is the funeral director of Nelsen Family Funeral Services in Richmond, Va. Service Corporation International has acquired the funeral home, and Mr. Nelsen will join SCI as the director of government affairs for the East Coast and will serve as a director of the Neptune Society, one of the nation’s largest cremation providers.
