Gordon Milbourn

Gordon “Mel” Milbourn (Com ’74 L/M) retired in 2009 after more than 34 years of service for the federal government. He held audit positions in several Offices of the Inspector General in several administrations and during his last decade of service held executive positions as chief audit executive of the Internal Revenue Service and the U.S. Postal Service. He was the 2008 federal recipient of the David M. Walker Excellence in Government Performance and Accountability Award. He is now working at the MITRE Corporation in McLean, Va.
