Donna Shifflett

Donna Shifflett (Col ’94, Educ ’94) is an elementary school teacher at Ruckersville Elementary in Greene County, Va. In February 2011, she was part of a delegation of 10 teachers from Virginia and 10 teachers from the United Kingdom that traveled to Barbados and met for six days to continue their studies on the transatlantic slave trade, funded by a Teaching American History grant. In March 2011, Ms. Shifflett was a presenter at the National Council for History Education’s conference in Charleston, S.C.
