Rudene Bascomb

Rudene Tulaine Mercer Bascomb (Col ’97) and Ricardo Anthony Haynes married September 5, 2010 at Sacred Acres in Mathews, Va. They spent their honeymoon at the Boca Beach Club at the Waldorf Astoria in Boca Raton, Fla. Rudene is a corporate finance partner at the law firm of Hunton & Williams LLP in Richmond, Va. Ricardo is a theologian and teaching assistant at Virginia Union School of Theology and is applying to doctorate programs for fall 2011. Ricardo and Rudene met while working on a community “love” project at their church. Ricardo surprised Rudene with a cake etched with “Will You Marry Me?” at a friend’s cookout on Memorial Day.
