Lara Bjorkquist

Lara Bjorkquist (Col ’01) and Matthew Gehl (Engr ’02) were married at the U.Va. Chapel on April 19, 2008; a reception at Del Fosse Vineyards followed the ceremony. Christine Humstson (Col ’00 L/M) was a bridesmaid and Jessica Berthin (Col ’01) read a passage during the ceremony. The couple honeymooned at Qamea Resort & Spa in Fiji before returning home to Thousand Oaks, Calif. Ms. Gehl is a senior manager, study management, and Mr. Gehl is a senior associate, manufacturing, both at Amgen Inc. Ms. Gehl is pursuing an M.B.A. degree in global business at Pepperdine University; Mr. Gehl is pursuing a master’s of science degree in biomedical engineering at the University of Southern California.
