James Bean

James R. Bean (Col ’70 L/M) is president of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and presided over the AANS Annual Meeting in San Diego May 4-6. Following the meeting, he became past president of AANS, a group of which he has been a member since 1988. Dr. Bean is a member of numerous professional societies, including the American College of Surgeons, the American Medical Association and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons. He has published numerous journal articles and book chapters.
