Matt Coleman

Matt Coleman (Col ’03, Darden ’11 CM) has joined The Demex Group as chief risk officer. Demex enhances the climate resilience and economic value of companies and people by designing, underwriting, and executing weather risk transfer products. In addition, Coleman was honored as a 125th Anniversary Fellow by Penn State University’s College of Earth and Mineral Sciences. Matt was nominated by the Department of Meteorology for his pioneering leadership in financial weather risk, insurance-linked securities investing, and diversity and mentorship.

Matt Coleman (Col ’03, Darden ’11 L/M) and his wife, Christine, welcomed their second child, Matthew Kais, on Jan. 9, 2020. Matt, Christine, big sister Alessia, and Kais live in Oakland, California, where Mr. Coleman is a director at investment manager Nephila Climate, and Mrs. Coleman is the executive director of Sol Sisters, Inc.

Matt Coleman (Col ’03, Darden ’11 L/M) and his wife, Christine, had their first child, Alessia Raquel, on Nov. 8, 2017. The family lives in Bermuda, where Mr. Coleman is a director at investment manager Nephila Climate, and Ms. Coleman is the executive director of Sol Sisters, Inc.
