Evan D. Macbeth (Col ’97 L/M) and his wife, Abbe Hoffman Macbeth (Col ’01 L/M), attended an unofficial reunion of members of the Virginia Pep Band in July. Representatives of classes from 1987 to 2004 were in attendance as well as more than a dozen children of couples who met in the band. Evan Macbeth (Col ’97 CM)
Evan Macbeth (Col ’97 CM) traveled to the Virginia Capitol on Dec. 17, 2012, and cast the 10th Congressional District’s Electoral College vote (one of Virginia’s 13 electoral votes) for President Barack Obama. He also served as the Virginia Electoral College’s temporary presiding officer, using the gavel given him by the Washington Literary Society upon his graduation.

Evan Macbeth (Col ’97 L/M) was elected chair of the Loudoun County Democratic Committee in January 2012. He had previously served as the chair of the Leesburg district and has been active in local Democratic politics since moving to Leesburg in 2006.

Evan D. Macbeth (Col ’97 L/M) and Abbe L. Hoffman Macbeth (Col ’01 L/M) welcomed their second child, Henry Evan on April 12, 2010. Evan is a director at Sine Nomine Associates in Ashburn, Va. Abbe has been pursuing a post-doctoral fellowship at the National Institutes of Mental Health since receiving her Ph. D. from the Graduate Center at the City University of New York in 2006.
