Lazetta Rainey Braxton (Com ’95 CM) has been ranked second among the top ten on the Investopedia 100 list of the Most Influential Advisors of 2021 for her outstanding leadership in the financial services industry. This recognition marks the third straight year that she was named to the same list, with prior wins in 2019 and 2020. Lazetta Rainey-Braxton (Com ’95 L/M) received the See It, Be It Role Model Award, one of several Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion Awards given by InvestmentNews. She also received the Heart of Financial Planning Award from the Financial Planning Association in Nov. 2018. Braxton owns Financial Fountains, and her financial advice has been highlighted in the Wall Street Journal, Money Magazine, the New York Times and other media outlets.

Lazetta Braxton (Com ’95) was selected by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards to serve on its Women’s Initiative Advisory Panel. The panel will help identify challenges women face when becoming certified and when beginning a career in financial planning, as well as recommend solutions to increase the ranks of female CFP professionals. Ms. Braxton is founder and CEO of Financial Fountains, a fee-only financial planning firm and a registered investment adviser in Baltimore.

Lazetta Rainey Braxton (Com ’95 L/M) was awarded a 2011 Financial Planning Association diversity scholarship. Ms. Braxton is founder and chief executive officer of Financial Fountains, a fee-only financial planning and registered investment advisory firm in Chicago.
