William Bartsch (Grad ’59)
William Bartsch (Grad ’59) has published Victory Fever on Guadalcanal with Texas A&M University Press. The book examines the Battle of the Tenaru, Japan’s first land defeat of World War II, from both the American and Japanese sides. This is his fourth book on World War II’s Pacific theater. Mr. Bartsch has also written an article on the Battle of the Tenaru that appears in the November/December 2014 issue of World War II magazine.

William H. Bartsch (Grad ’59) will have his latest book, “Every Day a Nightmare: American Pursuit Pilots in the Defense of Java, 1941-42”, published by Texas A&M University Press in October. He also has a website, www.writingthepacificwar.com, that includes information on his Pacific War books and articles published since 1977. He resides in Reston, Va.
