Dana Dunn (Grad ’84, Grad ’87 CM)
Dana Dunn (Grad ’84, Grad ’87 CM) recently published The Social Psychology of Disability with Oxford University Press. Mr. Dunn is a professor of psychology and assistant dean for special projects at Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Renee Price (Col ’00 CM)
Renee Charity Price will be the new Head of the Middle School at Princeton Day School, Princeton, NJ. Her appointment is effective on July 1, 2015.
Allison Geller (Col ’12)

Allison’s first collection of poetry, Write Home, will be published in January 2015! The chapbook is being released by Finishing Line Press and includes blurbs by UVA poetry professors Lisa Russ Spaar and Paul Guest. Pre-order until November 28th, 2014!

TJ Farmer (Educ ’10)
TJ Farmer and his wife, Julia, welcomed their first child, a daughter, Caroline McMahan Farmer, on September 27, 2014. The Farmers reside in Gill, MA where TJ is the Associate Dean of Students at Northfield Mount Hermon School.
James Carlson (Engr ’03 CM)
James Carlson (SEAS ’03 ) and his wife, Laura, welcomed their second child, a son, Robins Bennett, on Sept. 10, 2014. The family resides in Mount Pleasant, SC.

Robert Graboyes (Col ’76 CM)
Robert Graboyes (Col ’76 CM) received the 2014 Bastiat Prize for Journalism from the Reason Foundation. The international competition honors “writing that best demonstrates the importance of individual liberty and free markets with originality, wit and eloquence.” His recent monograph, Fortress and Frontier in American Health Care, offers a new paradigm for analyzing American health care policy. Mr. Graboyes is a senior research fellow at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University and an adjunct professor of health economics at the University of Virginia School of Nursing and at Virginia Commonwealth University’s Department of Health Administration. In his spare time, he writes and records music.
Robert Hicklin (Col ’86)
R. Austin Hicklin (Col ’86) was named by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology and Department of Justice to the Forensic Science Standards Board, which provides oversight in the development of standards of practice for 24 forensic science disciplines across the U.S.; he serves as the Chair of the Scientific Area Committee for Physics and Pattern Evidence. Mr. Hicklin is a Fellow at Noblis, where he has been employed since 1995.

Jeff Kloetzel (Educ ’87 CM)
Jeff Kloetzel (Educ ’87 CM) released Long Time Coming, an album of 12 original songs. A guitarist and vocalist, Mr. Kloetzel has recently transitioned from the corporate world to the creative world. He currently works in the music business and wine industry in Oregon.
Edward Real (Col ’64)
Edward Real (Col ’64) and his partner of 34 years, David Faust, were married on Oct. 25, 2014, in a ceremony officiated by the mayor of Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Megan Jamison (Arch ’06)
Meg Williams Jamison (Arch ’06) and Chris Jamison (Col ’06) welcomed their first son, Hatton Thomas Jamison, on August 24, 2014 in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Ellen Bisnath (Col ’96 CM)

Ellen Bisnath (Col ’96 CM) and her husband, David, welcomed their first child, Catherine Emily Meera, on Feb. 5, 2014. The family currently resides outside of London, U.K., where Ms. Bisnath is a manager of international affairs at the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, Mr. Bisnath is a Chartered Accountant and both are Freemen of the City of London.

Trent Brown (Grad ’89)
Trent Brown (Grad ’89) published his third book, Ed King’s Mississippi: Behind the Scenes of Freedom Summer, with the University Press of Mississippi. Mr. Watts co-authored the book with civil rights activist the Rev. Ed King.
Elizabeth Williams (Nurs ’07)

Elizabeth Williams (Nurs ’07) and Doug Williams (Com ’07 L/M) were married on Sept. 6, 2014, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Annandale, Va. The couple resides in Arlington, Va., where Ms. Williams works in communications for a nonprofit in Washington, D.C., and Mr. Williams works as a senior consultant in nearby Vienna, Va.
Benjamin Rubenstein (Col ’07)

Benjamin Rubenstein (Col ’07) had Secrets of the Cancer-Slaying Super Man, an illustrated book for teens and preteens, published by Woodley Books in October 2014. The book chronicles Mr. Rubenstein’s own journey with bone cancer and leukemia, showing how he created the delusion that he was superhuman as his survival technique. He wrote Secrets following his memoir, Twice: How I Became a Cancer-Slaying Super Man Before I Turned 21, so that young readers could hear his story of survival.

Jessica Heald (Col ’03)
Jessica Heald (Col ’03) and her husband, Darrin, welcomed a daughter, Charlotte Anna, on July 21, 2014. The family resides in Mirror Lake, N.H.
Sarah McKay (Col ’96)

Sarah McKay (Col ’96) and Chris McKay (Col ’95 L/M) welcomed a daughter, Daphne Kate, on Nov. 20, 2013. Daphne joins big brothers Brooks, 8; and Trevor, 5. The family resides in San Francisco.
Christopher Glass (Col ’01 CM)
Christopher Glass (Col ’01 CM) and Hartley Jeffries (Col ’06 L/M) were married on Oct. 4, 2014, in Atlanta. The couple currently resides in Atlanta, where Ms. Glass is a teacher at The Westminster Schools and Mr. Glass is an attorney at Troutman Sanders.
Rudene Haynes (Col ’96)
Rudene Haynes (Col ’96) is a partner in the law firm of Hunton & Williams in Richmond, Va., where she focuses her practice on corporate finance and represents the Government National Mortgage Association, or Ginnie Mae. She volunteers at the William Byrd Community House, which offers Head Start classes for children younger than 5, and belongs to the Midlothian chapter of Jack and Jill, a group of mothers working to create the next generation of African-American leaders. A member of the inaugural class of fellows named to the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity for the 2011-12 term, Ms. Haynes has also mentored minority law students.
Patrick Riccards (Col ’95 CM)
Patrick Riccards (Col ’95 CM) published his first book, Dadprovement, with Turning Stone Press. The book chronicles the adoption of his two children from Guatemala. He was also recently named director of the communications team at the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation, where he will spearhead media relations and strategy.
Eric Meade (Col ’96 CM)
Eric Meade (Col ’96 CM) was elected chairman of the board of the World Future Society on Sept. 18, 2014. Founded in 1966, the society is the world’s longest-running membership organization dedicated to empowering futurists and igniting public dialogue about the future. Eric is an executive coach and futurist at Expotential Consulting in Alexandria, Va.
