Justin Feehan (Col ’13 CM)
Justin Feehan (Col ’13 CM) has published The Gift of Jeremy’s Run: Virginia’s Hidden Gem, a photography book on fly fishing for native brook trout in Shenandoah National Park. He is currently working as a dental technician in Northern Virginia and will begin dental school in 2014.
Lisa Hurwitz (Col ’77, Law ’80)

Lisa Hurwitz (Col ’77, Law ’80) is delighted to announce the marriage of her daughter Shana Frances Hurwitz McGirl (College, 2009) to Christopher Ryan Mackey (Engineering, 2009) at St. Paul’s Memorial Church in Charlottesville on March 15, 2014. The couple resides in Austin, TX.

Lisa Hurwitz (Col ’77, Law ’80) and Christopher Ryan Mackey (Engr ’09 L/M) were married on March 15, 2014, at St. Paul’s Memorial Church in Charlottesville. The couple resides in Austin, Texas.
Brooke Brower (Col ’00 CM)
Brooke Brower (Col ’00 CM) and his wife, Kate, welcomed their second child, a daughter, Charlotte, on Dec. 25, 2013. Charlotte joins big brother Graham. The family resides in Bethesda, Md., where Mr. Brower is the executive producer of MSNBC’s The Daily Rundown with Chuck Todd and teaches political reporting at Georgetown University.
Catherine Sprankle (Col ’82 CM)
Catherine Sprankle (Col ’82 CM) received a master of science degree in technical communication from North Carolina State University in December 2013. She is a senior communications specialist for Integrated Laboratory Systems Inc. in Research Triangle Park, N.C. The group provides contract support to an office of the National Toxicology Program. Ms. Sprankle resides in Raleigh, N.C., with her husband, Jay.

Ruika Lin (Col ’11 CM)
Ruika Lin (Col ’11 CM) moved from Arlington, Va., to San Francisco in summer 2013 to work for crowdfunding platform Indiegogo. She recently put together a nonfiction short story and essay collection, titled Frequently Asked Questions, that includes her work and that of six guest writers. She ran a crowdfunding campaign through Indiegogo to self-publish the book.

James Kibler (Col ’85 CM)
James Kibler (Col ’85 CM) has been named senior vice president, external affairs and public policy, for AGL Resources in Atlanta. He directs the company’s public presence activities, including its federal and state governmental relations, community relations and economic development, and public policy functions. Mr. Kibler resides in Atlanta with his wife, Sara Catherine; and their three children.
David Susman (Col ’81 CM)
David Susman (Col ’81 CM) was elected to serve a three-year term (2014-16) as the Kentucky representative to the American Psychological Association’s council of representatives. A licensed clinical psychologist, he is the director of psychological services at Eastern State Hospital in Lexington, Ky., and is an associate clinical professor of psychology and director of the Harris Psychological Services Center at the University of Kentucky.

Kimberly Warburton (Col ’01, Educ ’01)
John and Kimberly Warburton proudly announce the birth of their son, William Holden, born on October 18, 2013. He joins big brothers Ben and Max.
Kendall Jones (Col ’89 CM)
Kendall Jones (Col ’89 CM) will appear in the upcoming and final season of True Blood on HBO. Kendall is an intermediate improv student at the famous Groundlings School in Los Angeles. When she’s not acting, Kendall is an entertainment and business litigation attorney in Thousand Oaks, California, where she lives with her husband and three children.
Clay Gravely (Col ’99 CM)
Clay Gravely (Col ’99 CM) and Jennifer Breakell Beeler were married June 22, 2013, in Halifax, Va. The couple currently resides in Martinsville, Va. Mr. Gravely has been a practicing attorney since 2004 and was recently elected commonwealth’s attorney for the city of Martinsville.
Stephen Kabler (Col ’85)
Stephen Kabler (Col ’85) has joined Potomac Law Group in Washington, D.C., as a partner in the firm’s intellectual property, media and entertainment, Internet and technology, and corporate practice groups. He represents early-stage and public companies in commercial and intellectual property matters, including advising clients in their business transactions and alliances, providing strategic guidance on launching new businesses and services, and licensing and protecting intellectual property assets. Mr. Kabler specializes in advising companies in the digital media and entertainment industries.
Kristi Guilfoyle (Engr ’03 CM)

Kristi Guilfoyle (Engr ’03 CM) and her husband, Michael, welcomed their first child, a daughter, Keira Cecelia, on Nov. 10, 2013. The family resides in Arlington, Va.

Claire Louder (Col ’87 CM)
Claire Louder (Col ’87 CM) president and CEO of the West Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce in Maryland, has earned the Certified Association Executive credential from the American Society of Association Executives. To earn the credential, Ms. Louder completed more than 100 hours of specialized professional development, passed an examination in association management and pledged to uphold a code of ethics.
Hugh Magen (Engr ’90 CM)
Hugh Magen (Engr ’90 CM) and his wife, Betsy, welcomed a son, Jack Irving, on Sept. 9, 2013. The family resides in San Francisco, where Mr. Magen is a medical device engineer and Ms. Magen is a veterinarian.
Austen Givens (Col ’04)
Austen Givens (Col ’04) and his wife, Rachel, welcomed a daughter, Serafina, on Dec. 30, 2013.

Richard Giusto (Col ’82, Law ’86)
Richard Giusto (Col ’82, Law ’86) has been appointed to the board of trustees of The Miami Foundation, a foundation that works with donors of all kinds to make their philanthropy more effective and more fun. In this role, Mr. Giusto will serve as a steward of the foundation’s work to shape the Miami area through leadership and philanthropy. He is a co-managing shareholder of the international law firm Greenberg Traurig and a former board member of the I Care, I Cure Foundation.
Brad Christmann (Com ’06 CM)

Brad Christmann (Com ’06 CM) recently founded Boldfoot Socks, a brand based out of Arlington, Va., that contributes to the movement to bring apparel manufacturing back to the United States. Boldfoot socks are 100 percent American made, and for each pair sold, $1 is donated to Got Your 6, a nonprofit campaign that helps U.S. military veterans in need find jobs, housing, improved health care and more.

Edmund Sauer (Law ’04)
Edmund Sauer (Law ’04) has been named a partner with the law firm of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings in Nashville, Tenn. He is a member of the firm’s appellate practice group, focusing his practice on handling appeals and drafting dispositive motions on substantive legal issues.

Luke Martin (Law ’06)
Luke Martin (Law ’06) has been named a partner in the law firm of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings in Birmingham, Ala. A member of the firm’s construction and procurement practice group and international arbitration group, he represents construction industry clients in every stage of construction projects, from contract negotiation through dispute resolution. Mr. Martin also advises clients regarding the ins and outs of competitive bidding laws and has participated in bid protests at the state and federal level.
