Laurie Lanier (Col ’01) and her husband, Brent, welcomed a daughter, Emily Elizabeth, on July 17, 2012. Emily joins big brother Ethan, 3. The family resides in Lexington, Mass.

David Marcum (Col ’78) is the supervisor of technology for Botetourt County Public Schools in Botetourt County, Va. Mr. Marcum served as an elementary school principal for 12 years before taking this new position. His wife, Cynthia Ryan Marcum (Nurs ’94) and their two children, Audra Marcum (Col ’08 L/M) and Ryan Marcum (Col ’15 L/M) are also Wahoos.

Breier Scheetz (Law ’04 CM) , a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, and Roxana Rodriguez were married on Aug. 4, 2012, at St. Anne’s Chapel, Villa Academy, in Seattle. Lt. and Mrs. Scheetz reside in Cordova, Tenn.

Andrew Elligers (Col ’01) and his wife, Julia, welcomed their first child, a son, Lawson Joh, on March 1, 2012. The family resides in McLean, Va.

Allison Tiller (Col ’00, Law ’04 CM) and her husband, Ben, welcomed a son, Hayes Bradley, on Oct. 9, 2012. Hayes joins big sister Ande Elizabeth, 20 months.

Julie Teprovich (Educ ’00) and her husband, Mark Ciemcioch, welcomed a daughter, Eliza Cristine, in April 2012.

Derek Thomas (Com ’00 CM) married Catherine Douglas Ellen on Aug. 25, 2012. The couple resides in McLean, Va., where Mr. Thomas is an executive with Accenture and Ms. Thomas is an engineer with Dominion Virginia Power.

Amy Ramil (Arch ’00) married Matthew Pang on June 30, 2012. The couple resides in Honolulu.

Jeffrey Quinlivan (Engr ’00) and Leslie Nanna Quinlivan (Col ’01, Educ ’01 L/M) welcomed a second child, John Mark Quinlivan II, on August 24, 2012. Mark joins big sister Kate, 4. The Quinlivans reside in North Palm Beach, Fla.

Stephanie Merhar (Col ’00 CM) married Matthew Mattone on May 5, 2012, in Lexington, Ky. Members of the wedding party included Sarah Harris Wallman (Col ’00 L/M) and Claire Moir Peters (Col ’01, Educ ’01, ’12 L/M). The couple resides near Cincinnati, where Dr. Merhar is an attending neonatologist at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

Jeffrey Dawkins (Col ’01, Com ’00) and Sarah Landis Dawkins (Col ’01) welcomed their second child, Scarlett Marie, on July 16, 2012. Scarlett joins a big brother, Lucas. The family resides in Rowayton, Conn., where Mr. Dawkins works in finance at the Royal Bank of Scotland and Ms. Dawkins is an editor at HarperCollins Publishers.

George Seals (Col ’99, Educ ’00 CM) and his wife, Laura, welcomed their first child, George W. Seals III, on August 19, 2012. The family resides in Arlington, Va.

Sakina Paige (Grad ’99) is the president of the Metropolitan Richmond Women’s Bar Association. She is a compliance consultant for Wells Fargo Advisors, and prior to her election as MRWBA president, acted as the bar’s chair of the mentorship, membership, programs and awards committees, vice president and president-elect. She also serves on the board of directors for the School of Performing Arts in the Richmond Community and for the Virginia Home for Boys and Girls.

Lesley Marlin (Col ’99, Law ’02 CM) and her husband, Harry, welcomed twin boys, Hunter Peyton and Colby Lyon, on June 5, 2012. The family resides in Arlington, Va. Ms. Marlin is a labor and employment lawyer for General Dynamics Information Technology Inc. in Fairfax, Va.

Noah Kaufman (Com ’99 CM) is a systems accountant at the U.S. Department of State. Previously, he worked as a systems accountant at the Department of Homeland Security/U.S. Coast Guard as a civilian. He also coaches wrestling at Marshall High School in Falls Church, Va., and is an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland University College, where he teaches accounting software, accounting information systems and federal financial management. Mr. Kaufman lives in Arlington, Va., with his wife, Rachelle Kaufman (Col ’02), a personal trainer and group exercise leader. The couple has run several road races together.

Jennifer Dudderar (Col ’99 CM) and her husband, Jason, welcomed their second daughter, Jane Bailey, on Jan. 21, 2012. She joins a big sister, Caroline.

David Dadurka (Col ’99 CM) received his Master of Arts degree in English with a focus on rhetoric and composition from the University of Central Florida in May 2012. He is a visiting instructor in the department of writing and rhetoric at the University of Central Florida.

Courtney Deitz (Com ’99 CM) and Brian John Deitz (Com ’99 L/M) welcomed their fourth child, Caroline Nelle, on March 14, 2012. She joins big sister Campbell, 7; and two big brothers, Cooper, 5; and Carson, 3. Mr. Deitz continues to work as a consulting and investment banker for Reagan Consulting, an advisory firm specializing in services for the insurance industry. The family resides in Atlanta.

Richard Catalano (Col ’99 CM) and Margo Snellings Catalano (Col ’02 L/M) welcomed their first daughter, Brooklyn Reed, on June 15, 2012. Brooklyn is the niece of Darren Catalano (Col ’99 L/M) and Sarah Lawrence Catalano (Col ’99).
