“Birth” Class Notes
David Reed (Law ’06 CM)
David Reed (Law ’06 L/M) and his wife Sara, welcomed their second daughter, Elizabeth Jane Reed, in February. Big sister Annie could not be more excited to have a baby sister. The Reeds live in Atlanta, Georgia where David is a patent attorney with Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton.
Allen Clark (Col ’90 CM)
Allen C. Clark III (Col ’90 L/M) and his wife, Elena, welcomed a daughter, Julia Howell, on December 16, 2016. Julia joins brothers Allen and Henry, both 2. The family lives in Annapolis, Maryland, where Mr. Clark is the executive director of budget and finance for Maryland’s judicial branch.
Margaret Baudinet (Col ’07 CM), Michael Baudinet (Col ’04 CM)
On December 4, 2016, Margaret “Moggie” Bolton Baudinet (Col ’07 L/M) and her husband, Michael A. Baudinet (Col ’04 L/M) welcomed quintuplets—four girls and one boy—at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. After spending a month under care and observation in the hospital’s NICU, Ava Louise, Clara Catherine, Camille “Millie” Whitney, Isabelle Frances and Luke Thomas were released to their parents in early January.
The Baudinets had relocated temporarily from Charlottesville to Phoenix to work with Dr. John Elliott, a specialist in multiple-birth pregnancies. When the quintuplets were released from the hospital, the Baudinets were faced with a new hurdle: how to transport the babies to Virginia in peak flu season. With the help of a fellow UVA alumnus, the family was able to find a private jet to take them home.
Grandparents Kaye and Thomas Bolton, Charles A. Baudinet (Darden ’81) and Virginia C. Baudinet (Educ ’80) are assisting the Baudinets with childcare. Ms. Baudinet is documenting life with quintuplets on her blog, Baudinetquints.blogspot.com.
Courtney McCreesh (Col ’03 CM), Patrick McCreesh (Col ’02 CM)
Courtney Lodge McCreesh (Col ’03) and Patrick Joseph McCreesh (Col ’02) welcomed their third daughter, Bridget Lodge McCreesh, on August 26, 2015. She joined sisters Elizabeth Maeve (6) and Rose Mary (3). In May 2016, Patrick graduated with his PhD in Public Policy from George Mason University, School of Policy, Government, and International Affairs.
Kate Fleming (Col ’08 CM), Patrick Fleming (Grad ’09, Grad ’12)
Kate Rothrock Fleming (Col ’08) and PC Fleming (Grad ’09, ’12) happily welcomed a son on November 8, 2016. Penn Carroll Fleming weighed 5 lb 7 oz and was 19 ½ in.
Chris Sullivan (Engr ’00)
Chris Sullivan (Engr ’00) and his wife Amy welcomed their third son Andrew Michael Sullivan on January 16, 2017. Andrew joins brothers Thomas (6) and William (3). The family resides in Winnetka, IL.
Chad Felts (Col ’09 CM), Kristi Felts (Col ’09 CM)
Chad Anderson Felts (Col ’09) and Kristi Ann Felts (Col ’09) welcomed twin boys, Cole Anderson and Lane Jackson, on January 12, 2017. The couple resides in Troy, Virginia. Mr. Felts is a Research Analyst for the Albemarle County Police Department. Mrs. Felts is an Operations Supervisor for the Social Security Administration.
Jennifer Ward (Col ’05 CM)
Jennifer Stoneburner Ward (Col ’05) and her husband, Daniel Ward, recently welcomed a daughter, Willow Frances Ward, on December 6th, 2016. She joins her big brother Aiden Lee Ward, 4.
Megan McNulty (Col ’99, Educ ’00)
Megan McNulty and her husband, Stuart Ambrose, welcomed their second child, Huck Michael Ambrose, on July 9th, 2016. Huck joins his big sister Mackenzie (Mack). The family lives in Burbank, California.
Meredith Majoch (Com ’02 CM)
Meredith Lufkin Majoch (Com ’02) and her husband, Thomas, welcomed twins Christopher Elwood and Liliana Claire on December 8, 2016. The family lives in Boston, where Ms. Majoch is the director of Joint Venture Relationships at Boston Properties.
Jonathan Havens (Col ’05 CM)
Jonathan A. Havens (Col ’05 L/M) and and his wife, Jayne, welcomed their second child, Ivy Maris, on August 2, 2016. Ivy joins brother Sidney Ellis, 4. Ivy is the granddaughter of Debra Hardy Havens (Nurs ’79). The family lives in Lutherville, Maryland.
Neil Berkowitz (Col ’99)
Neil Berkowitz (Col ’99) and his wife, Caroline Musin Berkowitz, welcomed a son, Eliezer Moshe, in August 2016. Eliezer joins sister Shira, 3. The family lives in Chicago, Illinois, where Mr. Berkowitz is a staff attorney at the law firm Jenner & Block.
Charles Iselin (Col ’03 CM), Courtney Iselin (Com ’06)
Charles Oliver Iselin (Col ’03 L/M) and Courtney Marzahn Iselin (Com ’06) welcomed their first child, Oliver Halsey Iselin, on October 2, 2016. The couple resides in New York City, where Ms. Iselin is vice president with Magrino Agency and Mr. Iselin is vice president with Guggenheim Partners.
Jonathan Thompson (Col ’04, Educ ’05)
Jonathan R. Thompson (Col ’04, Educ ’05) and his wife, Lauren, welcomed their third child, Elise Draper Thompson, on February 10, 2016. Elise joins brother Ryland and sister Sophia, both 4. Elise is the niece of Benjamin J. Thompson (Arch ’02, ’07) and Summerlyn Lotz Thompson (Col ’03, Educ ’03, ’08), Michael L. Perry (UVA-Wise ’05) and Rebecca Thompson Perry (Col ’09 L/M), and the granddaughter of William A. Thompson III (Arch ’76) and Jan Chaffin Thompson (Col ’82). The Thompson family lives in Charlottesville and takes a picnic to the Lawn most Sundays.

Michael Inge (Educ ’15) and his wife, Sarah, welcomed a son, Elijah David, on July 7, 2016.

Elizabeth Pugatch (Col ’06 CM) and her husband, Alexander Pugatch (Com ’06 L/M), welcomed their second child, a daughter, Caroline Reese, on July 12, 2016. The family lives in Armonk, New York.
Elizabeth McNamara (Col ’01, Med ’07 CM)
Elizabeth McNamara (Col ’01, Med ’07 CM) and her husband, Robert, welcomed a son, Robert John “Jack” McNamara, on July 18, 2016. He joins sister Belle, 4, and is the grandson of Linda Sargent (Med ’69 L/M) and John P. Kaufman (Med ’70 L/M).
Erin Pesant (Engr ’99 CM)
Erin Pesant (Engr ’99 CM) and her husband, Charles Pesant (Col ’99), welcomed their third child, Charles Joseph, on December 15, 2015. Charlie joins brothers George, 6, and Theodore, 4.
Noah Kaufman (Com ’99 CM)
Noah Kaufman (Com ’99 CM) and his wife, Rachelle Lasken Kaufman (Col ’02), welcomed a son, Benjamin William, in May 2016. The Kaufmans live in Arlington, Virginia, where Mr. Kaufman works as a systems accountant at the U.S. Department of State and is an adjunct associate professor at the University of Maryland University College, and Ms. Kaufman is a personal trainer. Mr. Kaufman recently published his third book, Lessons from the Wrestling Mat—Life Lessons from a Quarter Century of Coaching and Competing (CreateSpace), which includes lessons learned during his time on the UVA wrestling team. Ms. Kaufman has also written several books, part of the Kaufman Green Guide series (Amazon Digital Services).
Kimberly Curtis (Col ’00 CM)
Kimberly Curtis (Col ’00 CM) and her husband, Bruce Vlk, welcomed a daughter, Audrey Vlk, on October 18, 2016. The family lives in Crozet, where Ms. Curtis works as a research editor for the Washington Papers, a grant-funded project at the University.
