Samuel Leven (Col ’07, Law ’10 CM)
Samuel Leven (CLAS ’07; LAW ’10) married Jennifer Clifton (COMM ’08; GRAD COMM ’09) on May 16, 2010 and the couple welcomed their first child, Noah Robert Leven on February 12, 2013. The coupel reside in Fairfax, Virginia where Mr. Leven works as an attorney for The Baldwin Law Firm, LLC and Ms. Clifton works as an accountant for KPMG, LLP.

Melanie Howard (Col ’79 CM)
Melanie Howard (Col ’79 CM) and Andrea Leidorf (Educ ’03) have co-written a novel, Queen of the Court, a social satire and mystery set in an elite country club in the suburbs of Washington, D.C.
Ben Aylor (Engr ’99 CM)
Ben Aylor (Engr ’99 CM) and Erin Rupprecht Aylor (Col ’99 L/M) welcomed their first child, Gwendolyn Rupprecht, on March 14, 2013. Gwen is the granddaughter of Franklin Aylor (Col ’71 L/M) and the niece of Kendal Aylor Sibley (Com ’96, Law ’02 L/M) and Trey Sibley (Law ’02), and Cameron Ballinger Rupprecht (Col ’04 L/M) and Kurt Rupprecht (Col ’04 L/M). The Aylors reside in New York City, where Mr. Aylor is a partner at the Boston Consulting Group and Ms. Aylor is a program manager for The Economist Group.
Amelia Sitler (Col ’10, Educ ’13)
Amelia Sitler (Col ’10, Educ ’13) and Solomon Tat (Col ’10) were married on July 5, 2013, in Charlottesville. The couple resides in Lynchburg, Va.
William Phillips (Col ’82)
William Phillips (Col ’82) was honored as the Cleveland Clinic’s 2013 Critical Care Medicine Teacher of the Year and the Critical Care Medicine Anesthesiologist of the Year.
Kelly Woodham (Com ’05, Darden ’10 CM)

Kelly Woodham (Com ’05, Darden ’10 CM) and Ian Shields (Darden ’10) were married on Oct. 6, 2012, in Charlottesville. The couple, who met on their first day of business school, resides in Arlington, Va.
Eston Melton (Col ’02, Educ ’04 CM)
Eston Melton (Col ’02, Educ ’04 CM) and Rosalyn Mary Metz were married May 25, 2013, at Kitty Hawk, N.C. Previously residents of Alexandria, Va., the couple has recently relocated to Mountain View, Calif., where Mr. Melton is an assistant principal for the Palo Alto Unified School District and Ms. Metz is the operations manager for the Stanford Digital Repository.
Fatimah Castro (Col ’02 CM)

Fatimah Castro (Col ’02 CM) received the Community Service Award from the Johnson & Johnson Helping Our Neighbors with Our Resources Committee. Presented annually, the award recognizes a community member who has demonstrated exemplary service and caring for others. She and her husband, Carlos, are the founders of Life Soccer. Ms. Williams Castro has served as chair of the New Brunswick Ciclovia Advisory Committee, operations chair for the New Brunswick Community Food Alliance and as a volunteer English instructor in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. She received a doctorate in cultural anthropology from Rutgers University in 2011.
Lyndsey Lawrence (Col ’10, Com ’11)
Lyndsey Lawrence (Col ’10, Com ’11) and Tyler Christian Padden (Engr ’10) were married on April 13, 2013, at the University Chapel. The couple resides in Cincinnati, where Ms. Padden is employed by dunnhumbyUSA, a data analytics firm, and Mr. Padden works for PSARA Technologies, an environmental engineering group.

Laura Green (Engr ’02 CM)
Laura Green (Engr ’02 CM) and her husband, Dave, welcomed a son, Nolan Peter, on June 1, 2013. Nolan joins big sister Julia Rowan, 3. The family resides in Sykesville, Md.

Norman Stockman (Col ’96 CM)
Norman Stockman (Col ’96 CM) has been elected president of the Propeller Club of the United States, Port of Mobile. He is a member of the law firm of Hand Arendall, practicing in the litigation and admiralty sections of the firm’s Mobile, Ala., office.
Jeffrey Neuman (Col ’90 CM)
Jeffrey Neuman (Col ’90 CM) has joined GMK Associates Inc. as director of marketing. GMK Associates is a multidisciplinary planning, design and construction project management firm based in Columbia, S.C. Previously, Mr. Neuman served as director of marketing for Genesis Consulting Group, a startup civil engineering and economic development firm also based in Columbia.
Dauria D’Orsi (Educ ’73)

Dauria D’Orsi (Educ ’73) has retired from the Department of Defense after serving in Bamberg, Germany, for 22 years. She continues to promote preventative and proper care of athletes throughout Europe, having recently worked with the military’s Wounded Warrior Project. She received a doctorate in health science from the University of Primorska in Slovenia in July 2013.

Benjamin Butler (Engr ’99 CM)
Benjamin Butler (Engr ’99 CM) has been promoted to technology evangelist and spokesman, focusing on big data, for Amazon.com. Previously, he worked for two years as a federal solutions architect for Amazon, helping U.S. civilian agencies migrate enterprise information technology workloads onto the Amazon platform.
Benjamin Sydnor (Col ’07 CM)
Benjamin Sydnor (Col ’07 CM) and Holly Turner (Col ’08 L/M) were married on July 5, 2013, at the U.Va. Chapel. The couple resides in Falls Church, Va., where Mr. Sydnor is a senior consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton and Ms. Sydnor is a health communications specialist for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The wedding party included the bride’s sister, Alyssa Turner (Arch ’10 L/M); the groom’s sister, Laura Lee Oliva (Col ’09 L/M); Rebecca Tinger (Col ’08) and Alex Hannagan (Col ’07 L/M).

Catherine Martin (Nurs ’09 CM)
Catherine Martin (Nurs ’09 CM) and Jesse Kidd (Col ’10) were married on Sept. 15, 2012, in Charlottesville. The couple resides in Palmyra, Va., where Ms. Kidd is an inpatient oncology nurse at U.Va. and Mr. Kidd works in finance.
Roy Ruhling (Col ’04 CM)

Roy Ruhling (Col ’04 CM) and his wife, Tanya, welcomed a son, Micah Alexander, on Dec. 16, 2012. Micah joins big brothers Desmond, 3; and Gabriel, 2. The Ruhlings reside in Lawrence, Mass.

Kelly Morgan (Col ’04 CM) received a doctorate in health communication from George Mason University in May 2013.

Pam Novak (Grad ’83) has published a novel, In the Midst of Wolves, a historical romance set in New York City at the turn of the 20th century.
Lindsay Rosti (Arch ’06 CM)

Lindsay Rosti (Arch ’06 CM) and Andrew Rosti (Col ’06 L/M) welcomed a daughter, London Mackenzie, on April 29, 2013. The family resides in Arlington, Va., where Mr. and Ms. Rosti both work in the Washington, D.C., metro area.
