Dwight Holland (Med ’08)

Dwight Holland (Med ’08) received the 2012 Sidney D. Leverett, Jr., Environmental Science Award from the Aerospace Medical Association for his significant contributions to aerospace systems operations. Dr. Holland has also been nominated for the Society of Flight Test Engineers’ Kelly Johnson Award for excellence and achievement in flight test engineering. His work focuses on joining the areas of flight test engineering with human-system integration.

Mana Anandsongkit (Col ’08)

Mana Anandsongkit (Col ’08) married Gagan Sachdev on July 21, 2012 in Bangkok. A number of Wahoos attended the celebration. The couple resides in Bangkok, where Mr. Anandsongkit develops various real estate and hospitality projects in southeast Asia and Ms. Anandsongkit teaches kindergarten.

Caitlan Smith (Col ’07 CM) and Michael Wilber (Col ’09) were married in Pittsburgh on June 16, 2012. The wedding party included Kathryn Wilber (Educ ’09), Elizabeth Lyle (Com ’07 L/M), Jennelle Root Martell (Col ’07 L/M), Morgan Whitaker (Col ’06 L/M), Matthew Baer (Col ’07 L/M), Scott Meadows (Engr ’08 L/M), S. Yasir Latifi (Col ’07), Jeremy Arthur (Col ’08, Educ ’08), Matthew Fletcher (Col ’07 L/M) and Ran Lee (Col ’07). The couple lives in Richmond, Va., where Ms. Wilber works as selection and recruiting coordinator at CarMax’s home office and Mr. Wilber attends the School of Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Paige Nichols (Com ’07 CM) and Marc Anderson were married in Charlottesville on May 26, 2012. The wedding party included Julie Turner Haddix (Com ’07 L/M), Ashley Heim (Engr ’07), Kimberly Spence Linkous (Col ’08 L/M) and Cristina Wilcox (Col ’07). Ms. Anderson is the daughter of John Nichols (Col ’78 L/M) and Suzanne Haertel Nichols (Educ ’79, ’84 L/M). Ms. Anderson is currently a student at the University of Virginia School of Law and Mr. Anderson attends the Appalachian School of Law.

Cavalier Capital focuses on bringing world-class investment analysis and decision making to an inefficient market niche. The fund deploys concentrated deep-value investing and is currently open to new investors.

Jonathan Terry (Col ’06, Law ’11) and Laura Wells Terry (Col ’06) welcomed their first children, daughters Afton Henriette and Spring Ketcha, on Sept. 5, 2012. Afton, age 5, and Spring, age 4, are sisters from the Democratic Republic of Congo. The Terrys are currently stationed at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, Ga.

His litigation practice includes contract and commercial disputes, health care litigation, antitrust law, construction law, constitutional law, defense of employers in employment related disputes, franchisor/franchisee litigation and litigation involving the tobacco industry. He has significant experience representing health care providers and long-term care providers and representing clients in both state and federal appellate courts.

Previously a staff writer for C-VILLE Weekly in Charlottesville, Ms. McEvoy is currently a legal editor at Bloomberg/Bureau of National Affairs in Arlington, Va., covering privacy and security law.

The couple resides in North Tonawanda, N.Y., where Ms. Fralicker is an operations director for national urgent care at Exigence of TeamHealth and Mr. Fralicker is a head coach and director of marketing for the U.S. Soccer Development Academy youth soccer club Revolution Empire.

Mr. Happel is an electrical engineer for the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory and Dr. Savides is a fellow in clinical immunology at the National Institutes of Health. The couple resides in Mount Airy, Md.

She was promoted to director of football operations and event management with the Atlantic Coast Conference in July 2012 after serving as the ACC associate director of football operations.
