Christopher Paul Hunter (Col ’97, GSBA ’07 L/M) and Stephanie Beckes were married on Nov. 7, 2009, in Old Town Alexandria, Va., with a reception in Arlington, Va. Classmates from both undergraduate studies and Darden were in attendance. The couple honeymooned in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The Hunters live in Arlington, Va.

Mr. Gould is continuing working and serves as an editor for math journals in China, Serbia, Canada, India and the U.S. West Virginia Governor Joe Manchin made him an “Honorary Mountaineer”. He lives with his wife, Jean.

Since joining the Senate Rules Committee in 2006, Mr. Ambrogi has been central to the development of far-reaching election legislation and has led the drafting, review and implementation of Senate regulations. Most recently, he was instrumental to the passage of the Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment Act, making it easier for U.S. troops and other voters to cast ballots from overseas. Kennedy Institute for North American Studies at the university. She published Sound Diplomacy: Music and Emotions in Transatlantic Relations, 1850-1920 with University of Chicago Press in 2009. The book is a transnational scholarly study of the “emotional elective affinity” between Germany and America that came about through German musical culture between 1850 and 1920.

The award, which includes a $3,000 scholarship and a travel grant to the NASIG annual conference in Palm Springs, Calif., is conferred to a library and information science graduate student who demonstrates excellence in scholarship and potential for accomplishment in a serials career. Ms. Glendon is a digital conversion specialist in the serial and government publications division at the Library of Congress and is pursuing a Master of Science in Library and Information Studies through the distance education program at Florida State University.
